Hey Jane, Lynn and everyone I thought I'd say quick hello while I have a rare night off. I've been looking at the new Website and I'm blown away. It took me a while to work it all out but when I downloaded the relevant stuff I was able to access all the Guest book pages and see some of the reviews of the recent gigs. As always your comments are so encouraging, especially about the new album "GET ON WITH YOUR SHORT LIFE" and the singles so far.

The attention to detail is just extraordinary and even though I'm feeling tired from all the running around and signings and all the other stuff that goes along with tour I just had to sit down and type a wee hello to you all.

You may have noticed that at the start I had the band and then when the shows got a bit more up close and personal I thought It would be great to see if Calum and Liam would be free to do some shows when they weren't off with Ronan. We'd been talking about trying to get together for a while, especially as the writing had gone so well for the album....So you will be seeing some interesting combinations of musicians over the next while, such is the life of the solo artist and I'm just glad to get the opportunity to work with some incredibly talented people.......

Every venue has been different and so each show has been influenced by that. It's more of a challenge for me to get out there and play the places that often get overlooked on a tour of Ireland. It's not always possible to do a signing after the show but I will when It is....Turlough has been a fantastic tour manager this time around and I feel very looked after by the new management team of Eamonn, Paul and Anita.

I'm sure you heard that I was stricken by the dreaded lurgy and sadly had to postpone a few shows but I'm back on my feet now and was glad that we could play Dundalk so soon after it's initial date....So thanks to all the people who were understanding and held on to their tickets....I'm only human after all!!!!

We are doing three shows in a row and one off until Christmas and beyond and then the plans are to go further afield in the new year but I will try and make sure the Website is the first to know.

It's coming up to My first anniversary of leaving RIVERDANCE and that is incredible really. At this moment only a year ago I was still doing the eight shows a week and planning the recording of the album. "G O W Y S L" wasn't even written, neither was "Looking in the wrong place" or "The wandering kind"....It feels like a few years ago but like I say It's only coming up to One Year and look what's happened to NYC in that small space of time.

With that in mind especially I want to say thanks to everyone who make the shows even more worthwhile, without you I wouldn't be able to do them and I never forget it. Here's to the rest of the year being as eventful as the first part and I'll log on again soon...Your cards and flowers and gifts are beyond generous and are treasured....Thank you all for being so Kind. Love Brian
