Darren......
Just got back from one of the best concerts
I have ever been to. This is the sixth time I have seen
Brian live and he just gets better, I took my Mum this
time and she was bowled over. Fantastic night!.
All the best for the rest of the tour. Thanks. Darren
Ian MacBeth.....
From Don Mescall's fantastic set to a brilliant
performance by the man with the voice Brian Kennedy,
even when the Amplifier seemed to go off he still carried
on with one of his songs. Even the introduction
from a tape was enthralling as it grabbed the attention
of his adoring fans with a sense of humour at the last
second before he made his appearance on stage.
Songs from previous albums and his new
album 'Homebird' was mesmerising, and the rapport
between his audience was strong including the banner
regarding his anatomy from the second row which
struck a chord with a few females in that row. My personal
favourites of the night were Van Morrison's Crazy Love'
/ 'Have I Told You Lately' combination, 'If You Don't
Believe In Me' and the Irish entry for Eurovision
which I feel was the best song ' Every Song Is A Cry
For Love'. But even though they are my personal favourites
the rest of the songs were wonderful to listen to. It
can safely be said that Brian Kennedy has a big following
in the North East Of England and will be welcome anytime
in this region especially at the Sage Gateshead, and
not Newcastle as Brian mentioned. Its ok Brian we will
forget the little geographical mistake as its only a
walk across the water.
So as a fan and from many others who enjoyed the show
many thanks and especially for meeting us and signing
the many goodies people purchased at the merchandise
table manned by Jane. Thank You Jane from all of us
in the North East hope to see you Very Soon. Kind Regards.
Love and Best Wishes. Ian

Patrick........
The Sage in Gateshead was in fact only
my second ever Brian Kennedy concert and a fantastic
venue for Brian's superb voice. I bought the new
album in Newcastle and only had chance to listen
to it once before the concert but this is growing
on me very rapidly, with the opening track "If
you don't believe in me" an early favourite.
It was great being able to meet Brian afterwards and
many thanks for signing the album cover for me. Hopefully,
it won't be so long before I see Brian again (a concert
in East or North Yorkshire would be particularly appreciated!)
and if I spot you again Jane, I will endeavour to say
'hello' next time!
Mr N.S. Hunter........
Just a quick note to say what a fabulous concert
it was last friday. After the bitter disappointment
of losing our money when the Newcastle Opera House went
bankrupt the day before his planned concert two
years ago, it more than made up for it with a superb
night.
Brian come back to the Sage, the sound was superb and
showed your singing voice off to its true potential.
By the way the new album is amazing and when you sang
"You raise me up" at the end, you are one
of a few performers that brought a tear to my eye. Looking
forward to next time already.
